A: Accuvant and FishNet Security announced plans to launch their new, combined
corporate name and brand and begin conducting business as Optiv Security in
summer 2015.
The company also announced that its worldwide headquarters will be located in
Denver with the Overland Park, Kans. location continuing to serve as its showcase
facility with its state-of-the-art Executive Briefing Center and Security Operations
Center (SOC).

Q: Why did you choose Optiv Security?
A: The name Optiv is concise, descriptive and speaks to today’s security needs. It is
derived from “active” and “operative,” alluding to intelligent collaboration. It evokes
the idea of giving organizations a clear field of vision, helping them understand their
options, and providing them with what they need to take action and to successfully
execute.
Q: How did you choose Optiv?
A: The company chose Optiv as its new name after an extensive selection and vetting
process that included reviewing more than 1,200 possibilities; considering feedback
from clients, employees across the organization, partners and shareholders; and
conducting extensive linguistics screenings and legal searches.
Q: When will the logo and full brand be launched?
A: Accuvant and FishNet Security will launch their new corporate name and brand, and
begin conducting business as Optiv Security in summer 2015.
Q: If you’re not using the new name until Q3, why are you announcing it now?
A: Accuvant and FishNet Security have made great progress integrating the two
organizations and wanted to share with the world the new name as soon as possible.
The combined company is looking forward to beginning to operate as Optiv later this
year, and to building on its previous brands to make Optiv the most trusted partner in
the information security space.
Q: Have you decided where your headquarters will be located?
A: The Optiv Security worldwide headquarters will be located in Denver. The company’s
Overland Park, Kan. location will continue to serve as its showcase facility with its
state-of-the-art Executive Briefing Center and Security Operations Center (SOC).
The company’s extensive geographic footprint includes more than 60 offices, SOCs
and training centers, with nearly 1,500 employees located across the United States
and Canada.
Q: What is the size of the newly formed company?
A: In 2014, Accuvant and FishNet Security had combined total revenue of
approximately $1.5 billion. Collectively, the two companies have nearly 1,500
employees, have served more than 10,000 clients of various sizes across multiple
industries, offer an extensive geographic footprint with 60 office locations across the
U.S. and Canada, and have premium partnerships with all the leading security
product manufacturers.
Q: How does this merger shift the competitive landscape?
A: Together, Accuvant and FishNet Security have depth, breadth, scale, and a larger
percentage of the industry’s most talented people and financial resources to
research and solve specific or complex client security problems, as well as those of
the industry at large. The company will be able to offer:

Q: When will the integration of the two companies be complete?
A: The two companies began integration activities immediately following the closing of
the transaction on Feb. 2. We expect integration to be completed by the end of 2015,
with the majority of activities completed by the end of the third quarter.
