JACKIE DISALVO, long time socialist activist in
antiwar, peace, anti-racist and labor movements,
University of Wisconsin, and supporter of the
Teachers Assistants Association (TAA); initiator of
unions’ alliance with occupy Wall Street.
DAVID NEWBY, early TAA organizer, former
President of Wisconsin AFL-CIO, and leader
in the fight against Gov. Scott Walker’s
anti-union Act 10, including the occupation
of the Wisconsin Capitol, who mobilized and
organized labor support for that struggle.
“The Overpass Light Brigade” (6 minutes) an activist
collaborative public art project initiated by artists Lane Hall and
Lisa Moline.
