In light of these serious allegations, the College is
reminding all registrants that photographs of
patients may only be taken for legitimate purposes
(clinical, research, teaching, quality control) and
only with the informed consent of the patient.
Further, photographs may not be distributed to
colleagues or published on social media sites
(blogs, online forums, etc.) without the expressed
consent of the patient.
