Historic Franklin Preservation Association
Annual Barbara Wohlstein Memorial Essay Competition
Purpose
The purpose of the essay competition is to encourage the youth in our
community to become aware of the rich heritage available to them. The essay competition is an incentive for
them to investigate and take an interest in their hometown. Finally, through exposure to our organization, it is
hoped they will avoid the "human error" of taking their community's architectural treasures for granted.
