Race Briefing
Registration opens at 06:00
Race briefing will be as soon as everyone is ready, but approx. 06:30 with the Munchkins wave going off first. You will need to
be at the Start Assembly area in front of the pool for the briefing 5 minutes prior to your race start, to receive your race
safety briefing. Make sure you have racked your bike and are ready to go, as soon as the briefing is over we will start the wave
for this event we would suggest a tri suit for a quick transition on to the bike.
Make sure you have warmed up prior to your race.
The Swim
One wave mass start which will be a self-seeding start (deep water). If you want to wear fins that’s fine but please position
yourself at the back of the wave. If we have too many competitors we will split the waves. Make sure you check the course
map. It’s your responsibility to know where to go. All courses are signed.
The Bike
After you complete your swim you exit through to T1
and get on your bike remembering to put your helmet on
before you touch your bike. The courses are looped
courses so make sure you know how many laps your
doing, we will have marshals on the course checking,
and a draft buster for this race on a motor bike so watch
out!
The Run
Again most of the course are laps so make sure you check the course maps and listen to the briefing, all courses will
be signed. If you’re not sure ask before you star

Rules
• Personal stereos, MP3s, iPods or equivalent
are not permitted at any point during the race
• It is advisable not to wear jewellery
• No nudity on the course!
An approved helmet must be worn on the bike at all times
All participants MUST adhere to the rules of the road as there are no road closures for
this event. Failure to observe red lights etc will bring immediate disqualification
Our team of motivated volunteers are essential to the delivery of a successful event. If you or your
friends or family would like to be part of this exciting event then please put them in touch with
us prior to the event. Previous experience is not necessary, just enthusiasm, efficiency and the
ability to encourage competitors!
