Be A Part of Faith Hope Peace Ministries
Faith Hope Peace (FHP) Ministries brings weekly church services to 14 residential care facilities in
the area. Recently, Pastor Roggow started helping out by leading worship once a month at Brookdale
in Prospect Heights. Average weekly attendance for February is about 240 fellow Christians gathered
together to hear our Lord’s wonderful news across the 14 facilities. A monthly total of 961 people heard
salvation by grace preached to them through this ministry! Please consider being part of a growing
ministry by volunteering a few hours of your time! Talk to a friend and together you can make a
difference in a senior’s life! Please contact Craig Chidester, Executive Director, at (630) 710-0396 or
[email protected] if you’re interested in serving. You can also get some more information by talking with
Pastor Roggow or emailing him at [email protected]

How Will You Serve May 1-3?
Only three weeks until the weekend of Big Days of Serving! We just added a tenth project: if you
or your child plays a musical instrument, you can share the joy of music with seniors in an informal
setting at the Lutheran Home. Our other projects include blessing special needs adults at Jesus Time or
playing bingo; getting fresh air and exercise while serving at Walcamp, a Habitat for Humanity build or
in Busse Woods. You can also lend a hand at Community Threads or, here at St. Peter, can make Linus
blankets for kids, assemble health kit items, or make cards for kids with cancer or just about anyone.
Details and registration available on the circular lobby desk and at www.FullLifeinChrist.org/big-days.

Pastor Klopke will continue to lead a Bible Study based on St Peter's sermon series "The Story". The
group will be meeting on Wednesdays evenings at 7:00 pm April 15, 22, 28, and May 6 in Bartz
Hall. (May 6 will be our last class and then we will break for the summer). This is an open meeting for

Five Wishes Days
Coming soon at St. Peter in collaboration with area Arlington Heights’ Churches are Five Wishes Days.
For your convenience St. Peter will hold two identical sessions on Saturday, April 25 at 10 AM and 2
PM in Bartz Hall. This program is open to those 18 years of age through seniors. Plan now on
attending one of these 45 minute sessions where we will help participants answer questions like: “Who
will speak for me if I’m unable?” “What kind of medical treatments do I want?” and/or “What do I want
my loved ones to know is the Lord calls me to my heavenly home?” Five Wishes is a gift to those who
you love. This document will allow you to think about, document, and express your wishes for the care
and life sustaining measures you want in an emergency. Please make plans on attending St. Peter
Five Wishes Day on April 25.

Community Threads - Allstate Employees
If you work at Allstate or know someone who does, please encourage them to sign up for our St. Peter
School Sort Night at Community Threads April 20. It's part of their Helping Hands program where
employees donate time serving in the community. If they choose this day we will get credit and may
even receive a grant from them - Go Allstate!
Do You Have an Up-to-Date and Valid Will?
If the answer is “Yes”, you’ve accomplished what many people never quite get around to doing. Some
reasons people give for not writing a will:
• I don’t have an attorney who can draft my will. •I don’t want to deal with the subject of death.
•I can’t afford to have my will done. •I am too young to have a will, I’ll do it when I’m older. •My
estate is too small to have a will. •I don’t need a will, my survivors can make the decisions.
If any of these apply to you, you may want to contact Ray Pagels, our Gift Planning Counselor. He
can visit with you at no cost or obligation to help you understand why any of these reasons can fail to
justify the absence of a will. He can help you plan gifts to your family and identify effective ways to
transfer the blessing in the best possible way. If you would like assistance in writing your will, contact
Ray at 224-387-3857 or email [email protected].
