MoneyGram Gold Coin Contest (“The Contest”)
1.
CONTEST PERIOD
1.1 The "MoneyGram Gold Coin ” contest ("Contest") is organized by CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad (“CIMB

Islamic”) and will be held from 1 March 2015 to 31 March 2015 (“Contest Period”), CIMB Islamic
reserves the right upon giving adequate notice to change the duration and/or the commencement and
or expiry dates of the Contest Period.
2.
ELIGIBILITY
2.1 The Contest is open to all individual customers aged 18 and above who effect a MoneyGram SEND
money transfer transaction (“MoneyGram Send Transaction”) via CIMB Clicks in any amount from
Malaysia to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan during the Contest Period (“ Eligible
Customer(s)”).
2.2 The following individuals/ entities shall not be eligible to participate in this Contest:
a.
Sole-proprietorships, Partnerships, Charitable/Non-profit Organizations/Societies, Corporate and
Commercial Customers; and/or
b. Permanent and/or contract employees of MoneyGram, CIMB Bank Berhad (“CIMB Bank”) or CIMB
Islamic (including its subsidiaries and/or related companies) and/or their immediate family members
(i.e. spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters); and/or
c. Representatives and/or agents (including advertising & promotion agents and system vendors) of
CIMB Islamic and/or CIMB Bank and their immediate family members (i.e. spouses, children,
parents, brothers and sisters); and/or
d. Individuals below the age of 18 years
e. In relation to joint account, only the first named account holder i.e. the primary account holder shall
be eligible to participate in the Contest, Joint account holders will be treated as one account holder.
f.
For avoidance of doubt, any CIMB Islamic customer whose mobile number is not registered under
Maxis, Celcom, Digi or U Mobile telecommunication service provider will not be eligible to
participate in this Contest.
2.3 By participating in the Contest the Bank and the Eligible Customer(s) shall not be bound by
any prior contest, except as expressly set forth in the terms and conditions herein.
3.
QUALIFYING ENTRIES FOR THE PRIZES
3.1 This Contest is open to all Eligible Customer(s) who perform the MoneyGram Send Transaction in
accordance with Clause 2.1 above..
3.2 An Eligible Customer(s) will be entitled to one (1) qualifying entry for
MoneyGram Send Transaction effected during the Contest Period.

5.1The maximum number of prizes that an Eligible Customer(s) stands to win under this Contest is one (1)
Prize during the entire Contest Period.
5.2 The winners of the Contest (“Contest Winner(s)”) shall be responsible to pay any tax, incidental cost
and/or any other charges relating to any of the Prizes unless stated otherwise.
6.
CONTEST WINNER(S) SELECTION
6.1 The procedure for the selection of the Contest Winners(s) is as follows:

CONTEST MECHANISM
7.1 Eligible Customer(s) who fulfills the criteria stated in Clause (2) and (3) above will be randomly shortlisted at the Draw Date by an automated selection system from the list of qualifying entries.
Consequently the shortlisted participant (s) (“ Shortlisted Participant(s)”) will be contacted by CIMB
Islamic via short messaging system (SMS) on their mobile number maintained in CIMB Islamic’s
and/or CIMB Bank’s records.
7.2 The Shortlisted Participant (s) will be required to answer or respond to one (1) question correctly and
in the fastest time. In the event any Shortlisted Participant (s) fails to answer the question correctly
and/or is not contactable for any reasons whatsoever, that Shortlisted Participant (s) will be disqualified
or eliminated from standing a chance to win the Prize. CIMB Islamic shall not be liable in any way
whatsoever in the event any Shortlisted Participant (s) cannot be contacted for whatever reason (s).
For the avoidance of any doubt, CIMB Islamic is not liable for any telecommunication charges, roaming
or phone charges which is to be borne by Shortlisted Participant (s), whether in or outside Malaysia.
7.3 The seven (7) Shortlisted Participants who answer the question correctly in the fastest time will win the
Prize as set out in Clause 4.
7.4 Contest Winner (s) will be notified by SMS within two (2) weeks after the Draw Date.
7.5 All taxes, charges and incidental costs in this regard shall be borne by the Contest Winner (s).
7.6 The Gold Coin Prizes will be arranged for delivery to the Contest Winner within fourteen (14) days of
the SMS notification as stated in Clause 7.4 above.
8.
GENERAL
8.1 By participating in this Contest, all Eligible Customer(s) are deemed to have agreed to be bound by
these terms and conditions and any decisions of CIMB Islamic and the panel of judges shall be final.
8.2 CIMB Islamic’s decision on all matters relating to this Contest, including the Prizes to be given away
and the determination of the Contest Winner(s) is final, binding and conclusive. No correspondences,
queries, appeals or protests will be entertained.
8.3 In no event will CIMB Islamic or MoneyGram be liable for any loss or damages (including without
limitation, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary,
punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) arising whether in contract, tort,
negligence or otherwise, in connection with this Contest.
8.4 CIMB Islamic reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest upon giving adequate
notice. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension of this Contest shall not
entitle any of the Eligible Customer(s) to any claim or compensation against CIMB Islamic for any
losses and/or damages suffered or incurred by the Eligible Customer(s) as a direct or indirect result of
the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
8.5 CIMB Islamic reserves the right upon giving adequate notice to amend, delete or add to any of these
terms and conditions at any time. Any such variation of the terms and conditions herein shall be binding
and be brought to the Eligible Customer(s) attention through any notice (i) displayed at CIMB Islamic
branches or premises; or (ii) sent by CIMB Islamic to the Eligible Customer(s) by post or any other
means; or (iii) advertised by CIMB Islamic or (iv) displayed at CIMB Islamic’s
website @

8.6 If there is any inconsistency, conflict, ambiguity or discrepancy between Bahasa Malaysia version and
English version of these terms and conditions, the English version of these terms and conditions shall
prevail. Notwithstanding the aforementioned where request is made by the Eligible Customer(s) for
Bahasa Malaysia version of the terms and conditions herein, CIMB Islamic shall provide the same to
the Eligible Customer(s) and if the agreement is entered into on this basis, then Bahasa Malaysia
version of the terms and conditions shall prevail.
