AUDITIONS
The Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi is currently seeking male and female
actors and dancers ages 12 and up to serve as RAT Packers for the 2015-2016 school
year. RAT Pack members will travel across the state of Mississippi to take part in
performances for K-6th grade students that includes song and dance to
support tobacco prevention lessons.

WHY SHOULD I AUDITION?
RAT Pack Members help save the lives of others
by spreading the word about the dangers of tobacco use and secondhand smoke. Each year a member participates,
he or she is eligible to receive up to $1,000 in scholarship funds that will be deposited in a Mississippi Affordable
College Savings account. Members will develop critical teamwork and leadership skills while lending their time and
talent to communities throughout Mississippi. Plus, members get to meet other youth from around the state at the
annual RAT Pack Dance Camp! So, what are you waiting for?
Contact your school counselor, local Mississippi Tobacco-Free Coalition Project Director or the RAT Program
Coordinator for an application! If you have any questions or need more information, call 601.420.4492.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 12 years of age at the time of the auditions, have a minimum
of a 2.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. and have reliable transportation.
RAT is funded by a grant from the Mississippi State Department of Health.

dancers ages 12 and up to serve as RAT® Packers for the 2015-2016 school year. RAT® Pack
members will travel across the state of Mississippi to take part in a presentation for K-6th grade
students that includes song and dance to support tobacco prevention lessons.
WHY SHOULD I APPLY?

• Prepare a 3-minute dance routine to perform at the RAT Troupe Audition.
Music for routine must be on a CD.
