ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS for the 2017 HCFWI CALENDAR
‘Hampshire Landscapes’
Hampshire has some impressive landscapes with endless green and flower filled hills. When you are out
and about and see a beautiful view, take a photograph and enter the competition.
We can then organise a 12 month calendar for 2017 featuring wonderful photography of Hampshire and
plenty of space to write in key events.
Entries to be in by Friday12 February 2016 so start clicking!
We recommend a camera with a resolution of 5.0 megapixels or more, minimum camera resolution
requirements, 2.8 megapixels. Photographs taken are to be landscape orientation (horizontal). Avoid
using mobile telephone cameras as, although the resolution might be sufficient, the lenses are
generally poor and do not produce better images than digital cameras. You may wish to change your
settings on the camera, to the highest. You will be unable to store fewer pictures on the memory card
but they should be of bigger and better quality. As a guide the file sizes of the pictures should be at
least 1mb
Please save each image as your name and picture title and email to [email protected]
and send a hard copy to WI House.
Remember to give your name, WI and title of the picture. Photographs should be no smaller than
4" x 6". Please send up to 4 landscape (horizontal) pictures.
Start digging out any suitable photographs or start to take some, then complete and return the
attached form below with your photos to the Company Secretary, WI House, 56 Hyde Abbey Road,
Winchester, SO23 7DB or give all the details requested and email.
Unsuccessful photographs will be returned in the WI Posting after Judging.

I give permission to HCFWI to display my pictures. Copyright of chosen pictures remains with the
artist but licence to use the copyright material at no charge, is assigned to HCFWI.
