GIRLS FOOTBALL
Girls football training has been changed from a Monday to Thursday after school on the Astro turf. Mr. Lindores and
Eilidh Page will be taking the sessions. Can interested girls please meet at the PE department straight after school this

S1 CHAMPIONS IN SCHOOLS VISIT TO HAWICK
On Wednesday, period 6, all pupils in Scott House and 1T1 should go directly to the Lecture Theatre after lunchtime.
All pupils in Douglas House and 1T2 should go directly to the PE department.
Indoor PE kit must be brought on the day.
If you do not have a parental letter, please collect one from the Pupil Office.

GIRLS FOOTBALL
All girls involved in the girls football team, please come to a short meeting in the Library this Thursday breaktime.

GIRLS RUGBY
The school is putting together an S1-3 girls rugby team to play in the Crichton Cup at Melrose on Saturday 9th May. To
prepare the team Rocky will be taking 3 training sessions, 1 per week. The first session will take place this Friday at 2pm
on the Volunteer Park. Can all girls who would like to train please put their name into the PE office by the end of the
day this Thursday.

All beginners who have not been to Jedburgh ski slope should check the ski noticeboard and some of you should see Mr. Wright
as soon as possible too.

S3 WORK EXPERIENCE
Would all pupils who will require bus passes for their work experience placements please see Mrs. Paterson by Friday 24th
April. Failure to do so could mean cancellation of your work experience placement.

There will be a meeting at 1.20pm on Thursday 23rd April in the Lecture Hall. Please bring EV2 form with you.

S4 YOUNG COACH PROGRAMME
Mr. Lindores is looking to recruit 2 current S4 pupils to the young coach programme for the next school year.
Information posters are up around the school. If you are interested, application forms are available from the PE staff
base. The closing date for completed applications is Monday 27th April.

GIRLS ZUMBA
A 4 week block of Zumba classes has been organised for current S3 & S4 girls. Classes will take place on Friday
afternoons between 1.30pm and 2.30pm in the dance studio. The first class is on Friday 8th May. The cost for all 4
lessons is £5. If you would like to attend, pelase get a sign up letter from the PE staff base as soon as possible. The first
30 girls to sign up get a place.

Work Experience opportunity for a week during July/August is being offered with a leading law firm in Edinburgh.

Information about a Technical Theatre Modern Apprenticeship based at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh is available
from Mrs. Richardson in Guidance.
Mainetti UK are holding an event at their factory in Jedburgh on Friday 22nd May to highlight modern apprenticeships in
their production facility. It is an open event and you can just turn up on the day. There will be tours at 2pm, 2.30pm,
3pm and 3.30pm.
