HS-Exploration Lottery for the 2015-2016 school year – Tomorrow- March 26, 2015
Dear prospective Exploration parents,
We would like to inform you that the lottery for Harmony School of Exploration 2015-2016 school year will be held this
Thursday, March 26th at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in Harmony Science Academy High school’s cafeteria located next to our central office building. We would like to welcome all parents to come and join us. If you have any

STAAR Tests for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders - March & April!
Dear Parents/Guardians, please note the following STAAR Tests for the months of March and April.
March

*****Students need to report to school NO LATER THAN 7:55a.m., and they should get a good
night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast.
Each year schools hold CNA (Comprehensive Needs Assessment) meetings to determine strengths and areas for growth in 8 major domain areas. We
would like to incorporate parent voices in these meetings as well. If you are interested in participating in these meetings, please contact Mrs. Taylor at

Saturday Tutorials and Spring Break Tutorials Schedule – 3rd-5th grade ONLY
Dear Parents,
Below are the dates for the Saturday and Spring Break tutorials for 3rd-5th grades only. Please plan to have your child attend all tutoring classes.
Our utmost goal is for your child to be successful in STAAR. We need your full support and cooperation. Please contact Ms. Olson for more details
at [email protected]. A letter was sent home today with your child. Saturday tutorials will run from 8:30am- 1:15pm. Please be aware of
your child's sessions. We now have three sessions; 8:30am, 10:15am, and 11:45am.

Kindergarten & 5th grade graduation pictures – Thursday, April 9th
Dear Kinder and grade parents: On Thursday, April 9th, students in Kinder and 5th grade will be taking their graduation portraits. Students in these
grade levels will receive a Lifetouch form later this week that will ask you to indicate which graduation background you would like for your child’s photo.
Please make sure you check off which background you like and submit this form to your child’s homeroom teacher. The background cannot be altered
after the picture is taken so it is important that you select one ahead of time. Students must be in their regular school uniforms on this day. Lifetouch will
provide the cap and gowns for the pictures.

REMINDER - Harmony School of Exploration does not open its doors until 7:15am daily
Harmony School of Exploration does not open its doors until 7:15am daily and therefore supervision is not guaranteed prior to this time. Parents who
arrive to campus earlier than 7:15am to drop off their child(ren) MUST remain with their child until our doors open. The safety of our students is our top
priority. Please be sure to stay with your child(ren) until our doors open at 7:15am. If you utilize a drop off service, or a family/friend to help drop off your
child(ren), please notify them as well of this policy.
Reminder --- Dismissal procedures for older siblings picking up younger siblings
Older siblings who attend high school and/or Innovation will wait at Exploration’s campus to be picked up by their parents. In order to enter our school
building, older siblings MUST present either their student ID card or show their sibling’s car plate.

Zenith
Dear parents/Guardians, the Zenith afterschool program will extend a new service to families who are interested in
dropping off their children before school hrs. (Before 7:15am). Zenith will offer supervision for $80/per month
starting at 6:30am. If you are interested, please contact our front office.
