Congratulations to Holloman’s Shifting Sands Dining Facility
for winning the ACC Region 2 Hennessy Food Excellence Award!
In December 2014, your very own Shifting Sands Dining Facility was recognized as ACC’s Region 2 Hennessy Food Excellence
Award winner. This honor afforded the facility the opportunity to be evaluated for competition at the Air Force level.
February 9-11, 2015 a team of culinary experts visited the facility to do just that! They evaluated the dining facility in the
areas of food quality and customer relations, amongst other criteria. It was a grueling evaluation but a few individuals
stood out from their peers. The evaluators awarded the coveted “Hennessy Traveler Award” to the truly elite food service
specialist and the “Top Performers” honors to those who exhibited excellence. Those individuals are listed below.

Returning Home Child Care (RHC)
RHC provides up to 16 hours of child care, per child, for children ages 12 and under, during an Air Force Active Duty or Reserve member’s deployment of more
than 30 days. Care for RHC is provided in Air Force Family Child Care (AF FCC) homes participating in the AF FCC Expanded Child Care (ECC) Program. The
16 hours must be used within 60 days of the members’ return from deployment. To request care, the parent must complete the AF FCC ECC Registration and
submit it with a copy of their orders to the FCC office. Please call 572-5848 for more information on how this program may be able to assist you!
Extended Child Care Providers
The Family Child Care program is looking for individuals to provide child care services in their home for families requiring extended child care services – this may
include child care during the evenings, on weekends, as well as during the normal duty day. If you are interested in providing this much needed service, and earning
money while working at home, please contact the FCC program at 572-5848 for more information.
