Today Stelton has 6 different design families
In 1960 Niels Stellan Høm and Carton Madelaire founded
a trading company called Stelton. They started out with
sports shoes and furniture, but soon they opened their
minds towards stainless steel tableware.
After a few years, a new managing director, Peter
Holmblad, provided the Stelton brand with a hole new
graphic identity. Futhermore he asked his stepfather,
Arne Jacobsen, to design a new series of tableware for
Stelton. In 1967 this resulted in the launch of Cylinda-Line.
In 1977 Erik Magnussen, who had joined Stelton, designed
his famous, iconic vacuum jug – now called EM77.
For nearly 30 years, Peter Holmblad and Erik Magnussen
developed Stelton, manufacturing danish design.
In 2004 Peter Holmblad sold the company to Michael

The history of Stelton
c y l i n d a - l i n e by Arne Jacobsen from 1967 is the
heritage, on which the classic family is build. The design is
based on the cylindrical shape and always made of stainless
steel – sometimes added the iconic, well known handle.

and proportions – often added innovative functions. It is 2.0
because it is danish modern interpreted by Stelton.

EMMA
Emma is the new series for tea and coffee. Both vacuum jugs have steel inserts
to keep tea and coffee hot. An innovative smart-filter makes the teabrewing
very simple. Twist and turn the tea-filter to stop the brewing proces. An easy
click to open function on the coffee jug handles the pouring easily. Mugs and
milk jug are made of doubble walled porcelain to keep your drink warm and
hands cool. Enjoy the latest member of our danish modern 2.0 family. Emma is
refined retro with strong lines and focus on form and functionality.
