Enrichment
Our staff is working towards providing more opportunity to integrate academic,
technology and fine arts content in learning. Here are some fun events our students are
participating in:
 Filmed performance at Shakespeare Festival – April 16, 1-1:30 at Memorial Hall
Stage
 3rd Grade CGA – Yes We Love Cincinnati - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoXQRwuyJE
 Partnership for Innovation in Education (PIE) has launched the first-ever apps for
Android and Apple retail sites for Cincinnati Public Schools on Wednesday, March
25, 2015. The student-designed apps launched at Hyde Park School at 1:15 p.m.
The app – “Sweet Revenge” – feature local businesses and PIE case partner, The
BonBonerie. You can download the game Sweet Revenge (PIE Media) today.
“Sweet Revenge” was designed by last year’s 4th grade CGA students. In this
classic tower defense game, students must stop an approaching army of ants from
eating their cake. Every 10 ants destroyed allows the student to purchase an
additional “donut blaster” to stop the ants.
Xavier offers a summer reading program. See link for more information

Islands, Michigan and fun teacher-led experiences (See below.)


Teacher-Led Experiences. Feeling artsy? How about a special private tour of the Cincinnati
Art Museum for your child and friends with Mrs. Cameron?
Perhaps Shakespeare in the Park and a gourmet picnic dinner with Mr. Messerly and Dr.
Yeager is more your child's style.
Is your child the sporty type? Your child and a couple friends could win a trip to see the U.C.
Football team practice in Clifton with Dr. Cohen? Or they can cheer on the Reds with the
opportunity to go to a game with Ms. Roberts.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. There will be even more amazing teacher experiences to bid
on ... and one special principal package at the Spring Celebration Thursday, April 16! Make
sure you get your tickets at www.hpspto.org today!
