The event will be a 54 hole Pro-Am tournament to be played over three exclusive courses. A
maximum of 20 teams, comprising of one PGA Professional and three amateur partners will play in
the event.
The event is open to all PGA members across all regions and entries will be based on a first come
first served basis until the maximum field size is reached.
All groups will play one course per day; the first round is to be held at Formby GC with the second at
West Lancs GC. Tee times for the final round, at Royal Birkdale, will be decided by the leading
professional’s position after 36 holes of play.
Round 1 – Tuesday 28th April - Formby Golf Club
One of the most classic courses of the Lancashire coastline,
although protected somewhat by the pine trees that line many of
its holes the course is an enjoyable test for golfers of all abilities.
Ranked as the 43rd best course in the British Isles and 18th in
England, the course itself has hosted many major events
including final qualifying for the Open Championship, the 2004
Curtis cup and four amateur championships. Formby will host the
Arnold Palmer Cup in 2016 which has seen the emergence of
players such as Ricky Fowler, Graham McDowell and Luke
Donald.
Round 2 – Wednesday 29th April - West Lancashire Golf Club
Formed in 1873 by members of Royal Liverpool GC, West Lancs
is the oldest golf club in Lancashire and lies on one of the
greatest pieces of land on the Golf Coast. A true test of links golf
with views out over the river Mersey and challenging weather
conditions can be experienced on any given day. Ranked as the
47th best course in the British Isles & 4th in Lancashire. A young
Matteo Manaserro broke the amateur course record here with a
65 (-7) on his way to winning the Amateur Championship in
2009. The course continues to host final Open Qualifying and in
1976 played host to 4 future major Champions in Faldo, Lyle,
Woosnam & Langer.
Round 3 – Thursday 30th April - Royal Birkdale Golf Club
Royal Birkdale is a true test of links golf, Ranked at 29th in the
World, 3rd in England and 1st in Lancashire the course is held in
very high esteem. Royal Birkdale provides the opportunity to
walk in the footsteps of legends having hosted many major
winners over the years and has played host to 9 Open
Championships, 2 Ryder Cups, 6 Women’s Opens, and the Senior
Open in 2013. The course will once again host the Open
Championship in 2017. Royal Birkdale is one of only three
courses to have played host to the Ryder Cup, Walker Cup and
The Open Championship.

To enter please return the booking form along with a deposit of £500 or full payment of £1,500. Entry is based on a first
come first served basis and no places can be secured without payment. If you are entering after the closing date then full
entry must be received with the entry. Cheques made payable to ‘PGA Ltd’
