Element Lifestyle Retirement Inc.’s executive team was involved in building and operating eight
“continuum of care” Retirement Communities across BC under the CPAC (Care) Holdings Ltd.
name. The communities were home to a total of 1600+ residents and 500+ full-time and part-time
employees. Chartwell Seniors Housing Real Estate Investment Trust acquired these facilities in
2005:

• Crescent Gardens: valued at $22m, 164,000 ft on 4.38 acres. Includes 54 independent living
condominiums and 57 licensed multi-level care beds.
• Malaspina Gardens: valued at $9m. Includes 133 licensed intermediate, respite & extended care
beds.
• Arranglen Gardens: valued at $6.5m. Includes 87 licensed intermediate and extended care beds
• Carlton Gardens: valued at $12m, 153 licensed intermediate and extended care beds.
• Langley Gardens, Phase I: Langley Gardens Retirement Community: valued at $23m value,

180,000ft on 4.1 acres. Includes 56 independent living condominiums, 61 independent living
rental suites and 92 licensed multi-level care beds.

• Langley Gardens, Phase II: Langley Gardens at Village Square, valued at $16m, 135,730ft on
1.74 acres. Includes 54 independent living rental suites, 36 assisted living suites and 11
commercial retail units.

• Langley Gardens, Phase III: The Residences at Village Square: valued at $19m, 148,360ft on
2.66 acres. Includes 93 independent living condominiums.

• The Gardens at Qualicum Beach: valued at $37m, 213,850ft on 4.37 acres. Includes 39
independent living condominiums, 64 independent living rental suites, 30 assisted living suites
and 96 licensed multi-level care beds.
Between 1995 and 2005, Don Ho was involved in the development of the following nonretirement real estate projects:
• 1995: Tsatsu Shores – waterfront residential development in Tsawwassen, in partnership with the
Tsawwassen First Nation
• 1993: City Crest, 30 storeys and 145 units – condominium tower and townhouse development in
Yaletown/Downtown, Vancouver

• 1990: St Albans, 61 units - multi-family condominiums in Richmond
• 1989: Marquis Estates - multi-family condominiums in Richmond
