PLACE
Another Way was founded in 1986 by a
group of dedicated Inland Regional Center
employees. This determined and caring
group of individuals became frustrated and
concerned as they witnessed some of their
most vulnerable clients struggling to pay for
the basics. In response, employees
mobilized, formed a committee, called
themselves Another Way and began to give
willingly of their time and resources. Staff
envisioned the program acting as a safety
net for families in crisis and as a resource to
families in need. With hard work this vision
became reality and for the last 28 years
children and adults with intellectual and
developmental disabilities have received
monetary support from Another Way to
help pay for rent, utilities, mobility
equipment, medications and other necessities. An accomplishment made possible
with help from Inland Regional Center, its
employees, community supporters and
sponsors, such as you.
