Dear Children,
Summer holidays are about to begin. You will get time for fun, frolic and
relaxation. Most of you must be excited about the travel plans your parents
have made for the vacation. We have planned some light –hearted and fun
filled activities for the vacation to keep you involved.
You should spend quality of time with your family, relatives, and friends
.Engage yourself in the activities which enhance your personality.
 Reading is the gateway to all knowledge .Read any 2 lessons of each
subject. Underline the difficult words, find the meaning and write it
above the words.
 Improve your handwriting, spelling and vocabulary to enhance your
command over English language. Every Friday do 2 pg of cursive
writing (10 pgs).
 Go for a walk everyday to build your inner strength and immunity.
 Avoid spending too much time in front of television, computers and
play station.
** Holidays Home Work to be submitted to the class teacher on
6th July, 2015 (Monday)
Note- All work (except Maths)has to be done on A-4 size coloured
sheets and complied in an attractive folder made from recycled
paper/newspaper.
ENGLISH
PROJECT – 1
 Watch 3 English movies - Spiderman 2, Baby’s Day out and avengers.
Do the following questions for each movie on separate sheets.
1. Write the name of the movie.
2. Write the name of its director & lead actors.
3. Write what you liked the most in the movie in 50 words.
4. Draw or paste a picture to make your work presentable.
PROJECT – 2
 Read Roald Dahl’s famous story – “Charlie and the Chocolate factory”
1. Name the main characters.
2. Write a brief summary of the story in 50-75 words.

Make 5 figures based on Tangram. All seven pieces of Tangram should be
used for making the figures.
Use coloured sheets for making Tangram Shapes and paste them on the
plain paper in Activity file.
Activity 2:
Write any four events of your family (ex: your birthday with year, parent’s
birthday or marriage anniversary with year) in Hindu Arabic Numerals and
in Roman Numerals.
