Dependent of a dues paying PSE member of the Kennewick Paraeducators/Cashiers
Association
Scholarship to be used to further vocational/academic education
Use of scholarship is to begin within six (6) months of the time the scholarship is
awarded.
Applicants will be judged on information provided with and included in his or her
application. Determination will be based on required paperwork, accuracy, essay,
GPA, course difficulty, references, activities, and community service.
Instructions:
1. The applicant’s form, when completed, must be signed by both the applicant and the
applicant’s parent or guardian.
2. The applicant’s high school transcript must accompany the application.
3. A typed letter of not more than 200 words must accompany the application explaining the
applicant’s goals in their chosen vocational/academic pursuit.
4. Two (2) written recommendations from persons other than relatives must accompany the
application.

DEADLINE:
Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 by 1:00 pm.
Disbursement of Scholarship:
Scholarship recipient shall receive the award grant upon satisfactory proof of enrollment in and
commencement of the recipient’s educational program. The scholarship money will be
forwarded to the educational institution to be applied toward the recipient’s tuition. Applicant is
responsible for informing the Paraeducator/Cashier President of the name and address of the
institution and also for providing their student ID number, which is required for disbursement.
Alternate: An alternate shall be announced and will take over all or any part of the award not
claimed by the first recipient. Complete information will be forwarded to the alternate only upon
withdrawal of the first recipient.
