Always wear tennis shoes to school, please no flip-­‐flops! Drink plenty of water at home and at school! Send spray sunscreen and/or hats for any extended outdoor activities and splash pad time. Always have extra clothes at the center in case we get wet or dirty! Family Day at Minute Maid Park – 1:10pm game Thurs., June 18th Science Quest -­‐ $5.95 Ages 2 through Pre-­‐K Fri., June 19th Donuts with Dad – 7:00am Tues., June 23rd Bullying Prevention Presentation for Pre-­‐K Thurs., July 2nd 4th of July Parade and Lunch Parties Fri., July 3rd Closed for 4th of July Splash Pad We are excited to announce that our splash pad should be open for play the second week of June when school is finished! Classes will be scheduled to use the splash pad certain days and times during the week. All children must have signed parent permission, swim/water shoes, and a shirt. Swim shirts are recommended since they dry quickly. Wet clothing must go home at the end of each day. Summer Sports Camp Tues. & Thurs., 8:30am – 12:30p Ages 2 and up Coach Inman, a certified coach with the Montgomery school district will be with us once again this summer! She will be at the center twice a week to teach the children the basic skills of each sport and play a variety of educational games. This will be incorporated into our normal weekly curriculum for all classrooms ages 2 and up. Please send your child to school on the appropriate days with tennis shoes and comfortable clothing! St. Jude Trike-­‐A-­‐Thon Fundraiser We are so excited to announce that we raised $3,075.55 this year for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. This is the most we have ever raised! Thank you to all the families who p articipated both online and in person. We know that your contributions will help make a difference in the life of a child! Kids World News 1 | P a g e Summer Field Trips **All children must be signed up at least 1 day in advance in order their spot** to secure • They are billed separately as all are optional. • Schedules will be available at the front office and will be emailed out at the beginning of each month. Check regularly for updates. • Specific trip details will be available on the permission slips and posted on the classroom door each week. • For all field trips please: sign a permission slip, wear a green KW t-­‐
dress appropriately, and check to see if a sack lunch/drinks shirt, are required. • Please be at the center at least 15 minutes prior to the time of departure (the time listed on the calendar) so you don’t miss out! Who: All fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other caregivers are invited What: A special breakfast with your child to show our appreciation for all your hard work and long hours! When: Friday, June 19th at 7:00am School-­‐Age Trips • Field trips are usually Monday or Wednesday; and Friday •
Where: The Stonehenge Classroom in the main building Due to the swimming ability requirements at the Conroe Rec Center, only those children who are able to pass the swimming test will be able to participate. Graduating Pre-­‐K Trips •

Kid’s World Loaner Library Why: It is Father’s Day and We Love You! Did you know that we have a variety of resource books available for parents to borrow? They are located on the bookshelves near the office. They include a variety of topics including child development, and discipline, health concerns, breastfeeding, ADHD, behavior curriculum, and much more! We also have free information to take home on healthy eating, local family resources, etc. We invite our families to borrow books t hey are interested and return them for others when finished. The plans have been finalized and the supplies are ready to go for our new Pre-­‐K playground! We have all been anxiously awaiting its construction and it will begin as soon as we get a break in the rain. We will be CLOSED on Friday, July 3rd for Independence Day Kids World News 2 | P a g e
