A Letter Confirming Enrolment Status can be obtained by completing the next section (Section3) of this
form, and submitting it to Reception.
Requests are only processed if:
• no fees are outstanding,
• your student status (see Notes 1 & 2) is satisfactory, and
• you have provided all additional requested information.
Notes:
1.
If the Letter Confirming Enrolment Status is for your own visa extension, but your enrolment status (academic
progression, attendance, general behaviour etc.) is considered less than satisfactory, the Letter Confirming
Enrolment Status will be provided, but will clearly detail your current enrolment status.
2.
Letters to support dependant visa(s). The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) website
(http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/bringing_family/how-to-apply.htm ) contains the following
information regarding supporting documents for International Student Visa holders applying for eligible family
members to come to Australia as dependants:
• an original letter from the education provider stating:
o
the course you are studying
o
the duration of the course and your expected completion date
o
if you are satisfying course requirements
To allow KOI to determine if you are satisfying course requirements, you must have established some academic
progression. This means you must have completed at least one trimester and be enrolled into your second trimester.
Students who are not satisfying course requirements (including, but not limited to academic progression, attendance
and general behaviour) will not be provided with a Letter Confirming Enrolment Status to support a dependant visa.
3. LETTER CONFIRMING ENROLMENT STATUS
Letter Confirming

circumstances (see Notes above). Students requesting such a letter need to provide the reasons they want
the letter, and the name and address it should be directed to.
