SECURITY FRAMEWORK
CONTROL AND ADAPT
The Kollective Controller gives network administrators complete control over how the
network behaves. A number of critical components can be dynamically programmed for all or
selected parts of the network. Attributes such as polling frequency, latency periods, bitrate
levels and serving boundaries can be defined in the controller.

The system also adapts in real time in response to changes in the network as reported by
the desktop agents. If a part of your network completely changed overnight, the system
would detect the change and modify its behavior accordingly. If a segment is temporarily
congested, the system would adapt and find alternate routes. No need to manually setup
each LAN and subnet.
BUILT FOR EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY
Kollective uses a proprietary protocol known as KDP that is specifically designed for
distributed delivery. It can be carried over UDP, TCP or HTTP and will automatically choose
the best carrier for a given context. The UDP-based version is particularly efficient and
supports software-defined quality-of-service settings using its adjustable congestion-control
capabilities. For example, when distributing a massive software file, the desktop agent can
detect congestion and reduce download speeds to prevent network impacts.
