CLEP EXAM
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a means for granting credit for knowledge gained though experience other than college courses. Students who are currently enrolled at
La Sierra University may earn a maximum of 32 credit hours toward a degree for satisfactory scores on the exams. Tests cannot be taken for credit towards a class in which the student
has previously been registered. A CLEP transcript must be received at the Admissions and Records office no later than the end of the term immediately preceding
the term of expected completion of degree.

Division of Continuing Studies students are allowed to take the CLEP exam “College Composition Modular” to waive English 111, 112, and 113; however, this is NOT an option for students
unless they are Division of Continuing Studies students
Note: Exams are by appointments only. CLEP appoitments are available at the Learning Support and Testing Center website www.lasierra.edu/lstc. Currently the cost for each test is $127.
A CLEP examination may be repeated after 6 months. Questions may be referred to Admissions and Records.
