Butchery facilities are not available to hunters to process or cut up their own meat. Hunting Skills We take any hunter older than 5 years -‐ first time hunters – young and old. The hunting practice of “walk and stalk” is to be applied during all hunts – NO exceptions will be made for able -‐ bodied hunters! Only tagged animals to be hunted where possible. Exceptions under extreme circumstances The wild animal shall not be further pursued after two unsuccessful stalks. Shoot one animal at a time. Make sure you have the first one before going for the second one. Once the hunter has fired a shot, the animal / herd must not be approached immediately. Wait until the remaining herd has calmed down and moved away. Strictly no shooting is permitted within 300m of any of the following : any vehicle, any waterhole, any lodge, camp or buildings, gates and hides No hunting outside designated areas – stay in the block you were placed e.g. green, blue, orange, red No foreign hunters are permitted to hunt on the reserve unless escorted by a licensed PH & Outfitter. No animals may be followed across external boundaries whether wounded or not without specific arrangement with the hunting coordinator. No hunting with the assistance of beating, dogs and baiting is permitted. All rifles must be sighted at the shooting range before hunting and the same ammo used for sighting to be used for hunting. No practice shots or “stof skote” in the veld – only permitted at shooting range. No animal may be hunted that is not on the game quota. Wounded game is charged at full price. Any blood, hair, horn or intestinal fluid constitutes a wounded animal. Hunting may only be conducted in the presence of a local guide and/or licensed PH in the case of non-‐SA hunters. No caliber of less than 243 is permitted. We reserve the right to prohibit anyone from hunting certain species of game if we believe his weapon or ammo are not capable of making a clean kill. Hunting times are from sunrise to half an hour before sunset. Any animal shot at outside of these times will be charged at full price whether wounded or not. Hunters are not permitted to hunt under the influence of alcohol. All tips or gifts for trackers must be given to them in the presence of management. No loaded firearms on vehicles or any place mentioned in paragraph 5. (“loaded” meaning any ammunition in the magazine or breach) 21.

Due to the trackers walking in front of hunters, hunters should breach a round at the last moment before taking aim. It is the hunters’ responsibility to make sure there are no animals behind the one he is aiming at. No headshots are permitted. Any missed shots will be reported immediately and the hunt will cease until the hunting coordinator has inspected the area. Hunting guides are there to guide the hunter and get him a clear shot of an animal. They are not responsible for mistakes concerning incorrect species, sex or size. Leeuwdraai Safaris will not take any responsibility for meat processed from the carcass of a wounded animal that was not recovered immediately. We reserve the right to refuse to process such a carcass. Any accidental or negligent discharge of a firearm is extremely serious. Transgressors will be ordered to leave the farm immediately without any refund. Hunting Code of Conduct Every Jägermeister should : 1. Tell the truth and be a hunter of your word. 2. Obey the law. 3.
