Dr. Kirk Mahon Bio

Kirk D. Mahon, M.D.
Founding Partner
Before founding Legacy ER, Dr. Mahon served as Medical Director of a Dallas-area hospital
emergency department and a freestanding emergency room. He has lectured extensively, with
research experience at Carolinas Medical Center. While at Carolinas Medical Center, he
received the Outstanding Resident Research Achievement Award. Dr. Mahon has also been
featured as a regular guest on Good Morning Texas, sharing information with viewers on
emergency-related situations.
In his free time, Dr. Mahon enjoys studying the Spanish language and is an avid volunteer,
contributing his time and expertise to organizations such as the Dallas Metropolitan Area
YMCA, Tsunami Medical Relief Mission, Dallas County Medical Reserve Corp, and International
Medical Corp Missions When not working or volunteering, he can be found instructing others in
the sport of powered parachuting.
