PARENT DROP OFF IN MORNING
If you bring your child to school in the morning, please park in the lot and escort them into the building. If you drop them off at the curb, please do so
quickly and do not pass cars on the left…..our concern is safety for our students.
LATE ARRIVAL/EARLY LEAVING STUDENTS
We would like to remind parents that all students MUST be signed in and out during the school day. If you are bringing your child late to school (after
7:42 am) or picking them up early for an appointment, please come to the office to sign them in/out. DO NOT go directly to the classroom—the office
will call the classroom teacher to get your child.
EARLY DISMISSAL
Friday, May 1st, school will be dismissed at 11:15 for students ~ no lunch will be served. There will be a Professional Development Day for teachers in
the afternoon.
FOOD DRIVE
Our Laker Elementary Food Drive will begin on May 4th and run until the 15th. Please send in any non-perishable food item with your child to help
stock the local food banks. There are families in our community that need our support. You may also send in paper products or health and beauty
products, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. Our goal is to collect 600 items! If you are able, please send in a few items to help make our
community a better place. Items may be placed in the lobby of our school.
GRANDPARENT PROGRAM
There will be a Grandparent’s Program on Tuesday, May 5th, at 1:30 in the gym/cafeteria. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend. Any
guests that park in the front parking lot need to have cars moved by 3:00 because of student dismissal.
DENTAL BUS
The Health Delivery Mobile Dental Program bus will be here on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, May 13-15. If your child has already been in the
program, there is no paperwork to be done. If you would like your child to have their teeth cleaned/examined, please request the paperwork from the
elementary office.
