Join Living Seas in 2015 as we explore the dive sites on offer at Sibu Island, off the coast of Peninsula
Malaysia. The ultimate relaxing weekend break from Singapore, combined with fantastic diving
opportunities will let you truly unwind.
Wake up on Saturday morning in your twin share chalet meters from the beach for a leisurely
breakfast before heading out to dive. There are multiple dive sites to explore with beautiful coral
formations and abundant fish life. Enjoy the personalized service that comes with having a maximum
of 4 divers per instructor and a maximum of 8 divers per weekend trip.
Between dives, spend your weekend walking barefoot on the white sandy beach of the resort’s private
bay, explore the jungle, relax in the spa or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Once you have finished
diving for the day have a drink in the bar and watch the sun set over the South China Sea.
Trip departures are from Singapore on Friday evenings, returning on Sunday evening, so no time off
work is required.

Friday
6.30pm – Meet at Living Seas in Outram
7.00pm – Depart for Rimba in minibus
10.00pm – Arrive at Tanjung Leman Jetty
10.30pm – Arrive at Rimba Resort
10.45pm – Supper of sandwiches provided
Saturday
8.30am – Breakfast
9.30am – Set up dive gear
10.00am – Shore dive
12.30pm – Lunch
1.30pm – Depart for 2 boat dives
6.30pm – Meet for night dive (if certified)
8.00pm – BBQ Dinner
Sunday
8.30am – Breakfast
9.30am – Set up dive gear
10.00am – Depart for 2 boat dives
1.30pm – Lunch
2.00pm – Sort out bills for drinks and extras
Afternoon – Relax and depart for Singapore.
Total cost for the weekend is 650 SGD
Price includes

Diving
There are over 50 reported dive sites within reach of Rimba, so there is something for everyone.
The house reef is a fantastic site to start the weekend, whether it’s your first dive ever or you are a
regular diver. Descending down to a maximum of 10m the reef stretches out for 200m. The shallow
depth gives you plenty of time to explore; swim between the beautiful coral bommies and over the
reef rich in fish life. Stingrays hide under the coral and at night keep your eyes open for bamboo
sharks.
A chain of smaller islands and rocks east of Sibu offer a stunning selection of boat dives. There are sites
with massive boulders, coral reefs and beautiful soft corals, all offering shelter to massive populations
of fish. Keep your eyes peeled for cuttlefish, sharks, and schools of barracudas, colorful reef fish and
turtles.
Coming as a group of experienced divers, why not head out to explore sites new to Living Seas. We
can’t promise what you will see, but you will be a true explorer. Put your skills to the test and come
and join us, you never know what we will find. That’s all part of the fun…

Useful Information
Boat Transfer
The boat transfer from Tanjung Leman Jetty to Rimba Resort takes 20-30 minutes. Dress accordingly
for boat rides as you can get a little wet! You may want to put your bag in a plastic sack to keep it dry.
Life Jackets
These are provided for the boat journey to and from the island and it is compulsory that all guests
wear them while on the transfer boat.
Towels
Shower & beach towels are provided in your room. Beach mats are available, free of charge.
Dietary Requirements
Please inform us of any allergies or special dietary requirements before your arrival e.g. vegetarian,
dairy/gluten free, no seafood etc.
Bar
No need to bring along any alcohol, there is a fully stocked bar which closes when the last guest stops
drinking! Please note there will be a corkage fee charged on any outside alcohol brought into the bar or
restaurant.
Spa
Relax, sit back and let one of the talented spa therapists help you to unwind with one of the great
range of treatments on offer.
Deposit
A deposit will be required to confirm your space and full payment 2 weeks before the trip.
