Receipt of Medium Rescue Certification
What is it?
Through the State of North Carolina, NC Association of Rescue and EMS, the medium rescue
certification is defined as bas and some advanced rescue, basic and advanced extrication, and
basic life support functions as an initial responder with minimum advanced equipment and
skills.
Through the certification process, the fire department is required to show/prove a certain
number of personnel holding ERT, RT-VMR, or TR-VMR. (Rescue Certifications) Also checked is
certain rescue equipment on the apparatus.
