Confirmation Candidates will receive their pledge to abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs
on Sunday 26th April at 10:30am mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay.
Malin Parish Baptism Preparation Group will be meeting parents and godparents on
Wednesday 29th April, Thursday 28th May, Thursday 25th June, Thursday 23rd July and
Thursday 27th August at 8:30pm in Connolly Home. The purpose is to help parents
understand the meaning and importance of baptism in our journey of faith and to support
them in their role as parents. In a relaxed and informal gathering we hope that it will be an
enjoyable experience for all.
Malin Pastoral Parish Council Meeting: Tuesday 5th May at 8:30pm in Emmaus,
Drumcarbit.
First Communion 2015 will be celebrated on 9th May at 11am in St Patrick's Church
Aughaclay for the children of Glengad and Malin Town schools. It will be celebrated on 16th
May at 11am in Star of the Sea Church for the children of Malin Head and Urblereagh
schools.
Lough Derg Pilgrimage season opens Saturday 2nd May with one day retreats which
continue on 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 23rd, 25th of May. Advance booking is
essential. The three day pilgrimage season begins on Friday 29th May. You can begin the
three day pilgrimage any day between 29th May and 13th August. Pre-booking not required.

The Derry Diocesan Youth Choir rehearses every Sunday from 3:30pm - 5:00pm.
Rehearsals take place in the St. Joseph's room of St. Eugene's Cathedral, Derry. The youth
choir is open to those aged between 12 and 18, and to those who sing and/or play an

Counselling: A professional confidential counselling service is available for couples or
individuals through ACCORD at the Pastoral Centre, Carndonagh. Contact 0749374103.
Malin GAA: There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €1,150. Sequence drawn
was 4-7-3-1-6-2-5. €50 winner was Peter McCallion, Terscullion, Culdaff. The €20 seller
prize went to Christopher McLaughlin, Aughaclay. Next week’s jackpot is €1,200. All
County League Division 1 Fixture: Glenswilly V Malin away in Glenswilly at 3pm on
Sunday 19th April. Glenswilly Reserves V Malin Reserves at 1.30pm.
Malin Head Community Sports Field Draw: The jackpot was not won in the Malin Head
Community Sports Field Draw on Sunday 12th April. The bonus prize of €50 was won by
Laura Doherty, with ticket number 13. The numbers drawn were 6-2-1-4-7-3-5. Next
week’s jackpot is €1,700. Malin Head Community Associations 5 Alive Draw: There are still places available and
we would appreciate your support. The winning number for 11th April is 8. Winners this
week are Angie Roddy and Tommy Mullin. Thank you to the community for your continued
support.

Malin Head Youth Club: Thank you to all the parents and children who took part in the
recent cleanup of our roads. A special thanks to those who collected the bags and stored the
rubbish over the weekend. Well done to everyone.
Malin Church of Ireland extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who supported them with
their recent Good as New shop. Thank you to those who donated clothes, items of furniture
and household items. Your support is much appreciated.
Second Chance Education: Essential skills part time course for adults to start at Malin Head
Community Centre, after Easter (subject to numbers). Subjects included are basic computers,
maths and English. Suitable for those who did not complete second level education. For

Family Training in Dementia. Do you care for someone with dementia?If so come along to

Sliabh Sneacht Heritage Centre Drumfries: Irish dancing classes every Wednesday
from 4.30pm -7pm. Beginners welcome.

Sliabh Sneacht Coffee Morning raised a total of €320, the money was divided up and given
to Buncrana Nursing Unit and St Colmcilles Village Clonmany, thanks to all who supported
the coffee morning. Feis Domhnaigh 2015: will run over 19th, 20th and 21st June. Closing date for entries 30th

St. Boden's N.S is having a car boot sale in the car park of Simpsons' Supermarket on
Sunday 10th May from 12am - 2pm and every third Sunday hereafter. We are also having a
quiz in Culdaff Arms on Friday 1st May @ 9pm. Your support would be much appreciated. Give me strength for this day To get through life I know I need You close to me, O Lord, but today I need You closer than
ever, I need Your strength to face whatever is to come. This day, I need to feel You are very
near to me… to give me courage and help to overcome my fear. By myself I cannot meet the
challenge of this day, today I need a Higher Power sustaining me in all that it may bring.
