9:30-11:30am-Cinco de Mayo Party Decoration-We will be making colorful
Mexican tissue paper flowers in all sizes. You will learn to make the flowers and
have fun doing it. Free Bring tissue paper if want to take flowers home.
9:30-10:30-Pitch Card Game-John Clark will be leading this game and teaching
members new to the game how to play. Free
10:30-11:15am-”Pilates on the Mat” workout demonstration Pilates is a low
impact floor workout that will improve posture, balance & flexibility by strengthening the entire body with emphasis on abs. Twila Russ is a wellness coach. Free
11:30am-Lunch: Pork Loin, Mashed Potatoes, Peas, & Apple Sauce
12:00-3:00pm-Canasta with Mary Jo Cline
12:30-2:30pm-Flip Phone 101 Learn how to store contacts, pull them up, call
them, edit them or delete them. Free
1:00-3:00pm Finish Cinco de Mayo flowers if necessary
2:45-4:15pm Movie and Popcorn Movie title & information will be posted at
the Lakeside Desk on Wednesday, April 29th Free
3:00-4:00pm-Manicure Party All you need to bring is your favorite nail polish
or pick one of ours. Free

8:15am-Morning Movers An active 45 minute workout. Free
9:30-11:30am-Sew with Me– The class will be making matching throw pillows.
Materials list will be given at sign up. Cost: $5.00 Register by May 1st.
10:00-11:00am-TED Talks & Donuts-Sponsored by the Maumelle Library TED
Talks will be live streaming of discussions of current topics, funny topics and
informative topics. You will enjoy this so come by the Center and check it out.

CINCO de MAYO PARTY
TUESDAY, MAY 5TH

A Mexican celebration including colorful Mexican flowers, Mexican food, music and
dance. Come to the Cinco de Mayo Party for a new adventure in partying. Dress in
colorful Mexican attire, wear your sombrero or just come as you are. The DJ will be
playing the oldies mixed with some LaBamba music. There will be games, light
refreshments and fun.
The party is sponsored by the Visiting Angels and is free for members.
Non-members must pay a daily fee: Residents $3.00
Non-Residents $5.00

10:00-11:15am-Household Bingo Bring a new kitchen item with a $2-$3 value. Trade it for a bingo card and
everyone wins a prize.

human body in such a way that has never before been realized, plus a 3 minute chair massage. Free
9:30-11:30am-Sew With Me Bring a project you are working on and haven’t had time to finish. Cost: $5.00

bag baseball with the after school kids. Three volunteers are needed to walk around the library and be out on
the patio to help the librarians keep order. See Tawana to volunteer. Sign up at Lakeside Desk to play bean
bag baseball with the kids.
