2015 Code Blue Challenge General Information Start: The 12 hour race will begin at 7:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2015. The 4 hour race will begin at 10:00 AM. Location: Within 30 minutes of Madison, WI. Exact location to be announced one week prior to start Team Configurations: 3-­‐4 person coed teams will be considered in the premier division for awards/final standings. All other teams (3-­‐4 person same gender, 2 person coed/same gender, and solo racers) will be racing in the open division. 1st Basis Adventure Racing Series: This race is part of the 1st Basis Adventure Racing Series, Wisconsin’s premier race series featuring seven different adventure races throughout the state and cash prizes totaling over $2,000. There is no fee to join the series, simply race any of the seven events and you’ll be automatically signed up. The more races your team competes in, the better chance you’ll have of taking home prizes. Compete in either the coed or open division in teams of 2, 3, or 4, and see how your team ranks against others in the midwest. Registration: deadline is Friday, July 17th Cost: Entry fee includes land use fees, maps, tshirt, insurance, canoe rentals (including PFD’s and paddles), and a post race meal and beverages. Early Registration through June 30, 2015 -­‐12 hour: $100/racer -­‐ 4 hour: $60/racer Late Registration through July 17th, 2015 -­‐12 hour: $125 -­‐4 hour: $75 Disciplines: Flat water paddling Biking Orienteering/Trekking Mystery events Single track mountain biking (12 hour only) Distances: are approximate based on route choice 12 hour: Bike: 40-­‐50miles Single Track: 6-­‐8 miles Trek/Orienteering: 10-­‐15 miles Paddle: 10-­‐12 miles 4 hour: Bike: 10-­‐15 miles Trek/run: 2-­‐4 miles Canoe: 2-­‐5 miles Refund Policy 75% refund up to July 11, 2015 No refunds after July 11th Teams that are a no show on race day will not be eligible for a refund.
