Please extend your congratulations to Jason Marquez on his
promotion to Director of Payroll. Jason is responsible for overseeing
Specialty Services areas of the department, including tax balancing,
union payments, garnishments, stop payments, deceased
employees, customer service, and system administration. Jason
reports directly to Juli Smith, Executive Director of Payroll.
Jason brings to his new role more than 15 years of finance
experience in the hospitality industry. He most recently served
as the Finance Shared Services Center’s (FSSC) Manager of
Finance Projects, where he oversaw the technology portion of the
Casino Accounting transformation project. Additionally, Jason was
responsible for creating the technical requirements documents as
part of a new work flow system. Jason joined MGM Resorts in 2012
as Accounts Receivable Manager.

Prior to joining our Company, Jason was Accounts Receivable
Manager at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, where he oversaw
wholesale and group/convention billing, city ledger accounts, and
collection efforts, among others. He was also previously Accounts
Receivable Manager at Sahara Hotel & Casino.
Jason’s experience also includes Accounts Receivable roles at Paris
Hotel Las Vegas, Crowne Plaza Times Square, and Four Seasons
Hotel New York.
Jason received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality
Management from Johnson & Wales University. He is a graduate
of MGM Resorts’ Essentials of Management and Summit to
Excellence programs.
