The Commuter Challenge
MAY 1 - 31
The Commuter Challenge is a fun, free alternative commuting
competition that is a great way to save money, reduce your carbon
footprint and get fit.
NCRC Commuter Challenge Raffle!
Did you ride the bus, bike, carpool or walk to work? Enter the NCRC
Commuter Challenge Raffle at any of our five NCRC reception
entrances to win one of five $50 Kroger Gift Cards! Every time you
complete the challenge you may enter for a chance to win
throughout the month of May!
Ann Arbor Commuter Challenge
Employees can sign up for the 2015 Commuter Challenge now at
www.LetsMakeaMove.org and begin logging alternative commutes.
Employees who participate in the Challenge will be able to see the miles
traveled, C02 reduced, and other statistics for themselves and their
organization throughout the Challenge. Organizations with the highest
participation in their employee size category will win a worksite party.
Any employee who logs at least one commute gets free ice cream. All of
the prizes can be viewed by clicking here.

Bus to Work Week: May 4-10
Prize Wednesdays: May 6, 13, 27 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Pick up your prizes based on the badges you’ve earned so far. Prize
pick-up location: Blake Transit Center
On May 27, you can also stop by the UMHS Towsley Triangle to pick up
your prize.
Friendly Fridays May 8, 15 and 22: Get on the bus with a friend or
family member and tweet your picture to #makeyourmove or email it
to [email protected] to win a great prize for the people pictured.

Bike to Work Week May 11-17
Commuting Stations for National Bike to Work Day on May 15 from 710 a.m.
Businesses and organizations throughout Ann Arbor will be setting up
bike commuting stations with free food, drinks and giveaways in
celebration of National Bike to Work Day.
Walk to Work Week May 18-24
Carpool and Vanpool to Work Week May 25-May 31

a traditional stage, and provides a new challenge for where and
how such performances are archived.
U-M Board of Regents approved a $160 million project - It
will renovate four buildings at the North Campus Research
Complex to give our clinical Pathology teams all-new facilities
for processing millions of samples of blood, tissue, and much

Foundation Funding for Faculty - The
Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the
Simons Foundation are holding a joint
national competition for grants to
outstanding early career scientists as Faculty Scholars. This
competition will strengthen the community of basic researchers
and physician scientists who bring innovative approaches to the
study of biological problems. Submission Deadline: July 28,
2015.
