Beatrice (Tilly) Shilling OBE PhD MSc CEng (1909 - 1990) was a British aeronautical engineer who critically
invented “Miss Shilling’s orifice” to transform Rolls Royce Merlin engines as used in the WWII Hurricane and
Spitfire fighters.
