Guide Camp Personal kit
Please ensure that everything is named
Arrive in activity wear:
Plain navy/black trousers (not jeans)
Guide uniform tops
Kit - in rucksack /holdall (suitcases are not suitable in tents)
Blue T-shirts and shorts
Spare plain navy/black trousers
Plain blue sweatshirt/ jumper/fleece
Toilet bag if possible with handles and contents
Small towel
Underwear and socks
Warm pyjamas or tracksuit
Comb/ brush/ hair ties (needed when cooking)
Handkerchiefs/tissues
Apron (not plastic)
Wellies
Welly pegs (two thick sticks about 50cm long with points on the end to store upturned wellies)
Walking boots and/or spare pair trainers
Waterproof cagoule / jacket
Waterproof over trousers if you have them
Sun hat, sun protection, sunglasses
Swimming costume and bath towel in waterproof bag
Bedding roll - with sleeping bag, 2 blankets, pillow and mat which must be wrapped in a
groundsheet and tied with rope
Drawstring bag containing plate, mug, knife, fork and bowl and cutlery
Tea towel
Torch and spare batteries
Magazine/pack of cards/book to read
Notebook and pencil case including scissors, plus a stamp
Camp Bucket (if used by your unit)
Cuddly toy
Small daysack for use offsite
Brownsea Island
Each person will only be able to carry one 30l rucksack with minimum clothing enough for one
night and one day and a basic wash kit. A bivvy bag will be provided for bedding
