Any student inviting a guest not from New Hope-Solebury must complete, sign and return a Guest Form in
addition to this form for consideration and approval prior to purchasing tickets for the guest. If the date is an
NH-S student, another of these forms must be filled out for that date.
Any guest who is 21 years of age or older is NOT permitted to attend the prom as a guest.
Students need to be at the prom before 6:30 pm (unless a prior arrangement has been discussed and approved
before the evening of the prom). Buffet dinner will begin service at 6:45 pm.
Students attending the prom will not be permitted to re-enter the Prom once they leave. There will be no “in
and out privileges” which includes going to their limo/outside. All students should be sure to have all items such
as cameras, picture money, and personal necessities, etc. prior to entering the facility.
Students must remain in their formal attire throughout the evening, and no travel/back packs will be permitted
into the facility. Any coats, large bags, etc. will be required to be placed in the secured coat check area.
As with all school events, on or off campus, policy 227 applies: “If based on the student's behavior, medical
symptoms, vital signs or other observable factors, the building principal has reasonable suspicion that the
student is under the influence of a controlled substance, the student may be required to submit to drug or
alcohol testing.” Also per policy, “the local police are to be notified if a student is found to be in possession of a
controlled substance or related paraphernalia and the item(s) is to be turned over to the responding officer.
Additionally, the student is to be immediately suspended for a period of 3-10 days and a referral to the Student
Assistance Program is to be completed and processed.”
As per pages 15-16 of the Parent/Student Handbook, a student must be academically eligible to attend prom.
Unfortunately, due to payments sent out in advance, no refunds can be given for such cancellations to attending
prom.

drive themselves to prom. Students may either take the school provided bus, arrange a drop off & pick up via
limousine or other chauffeured service or arrange for a parent/guardian to drop off & pick up Once the ticket is
purchased, the transportation issue is decided.
