We held two fantastic shows last year, the weather was very coopertive on both days, and it
proved to be successful following our decision to move to the new venue at Horlands Farm.
While attendees were slightly down from previous years the day went as well as could be
expected... we were also very pleased to receive a huge amount of positive feed back on the
new venue and facilities provided after the shows.
Our 2015 shows will again be held at Horlands Farm, we have a full schedule packed with a
range of classes for all ages and abilities. The ever popular dressage will be running again this
year, with Intro and Prelim classes running on the afternoon of the fun show.

The Chairman's Chat... "A review of 2014"
In spite of the cold, some of our members made it out to the AGM at the Bull Pub. The meeting
was followed by an informative talk on the life of an intern vet, complete with slide show and
questions session - many thanks to Bell Equine for their ongoing support.

I would like to thank your committee members and their friends for all the work they have done
to help us keep to our planned programme in 2014. Your committee give up their evenings
throughout the year to come to meetings to plan events and to giving their time to help at our
various events whenever possible. 2014 proved to be a success at our new venue ‘Horlands
Farm’ near Summerfield road, Marden. The weather was good, the ground was good and the
sheep had made a good job of keeping the grass at a good length for us!! As the venue is more
to the South than our previous venue the liveries at ‘Horlands Farm’ and near-by yards were able
to attend.
The Dressage at Springfield Farm was well supported again this year, the weather was just right,
and the refreshments were a great bonus, it was a good day out for us all!
There were not enough children to run ‘The pony picnic’ in 2014 . The pony picnic is a fun
day for the children, no jumping only activities all on a lead rein if necessary. A treasure
hunt in the woods, a ride around objects in the school and of course a PICNIC! Maybe
there will be enough younger family members and their friends to run it this year.
Our open shows were well supported, needing two show secretaries to sign the competitors
in! There were many compliments on the organisation of our shows. Your committee worked
very hard being stewards, taking care of the judges and keeping to the time table as best
as was possible.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our shows as competitors, helpers or just coming to
watch. I hope many members will enjoy our members’ only activities during 2015.
