NYJTL's Advanced Training and Competition Program is hosting Tryouts for its ATP Summer
Tournament Team on Saturday, April 25th 2015. More than 150 players will display their skills
with the hopes of being selected as one of New York City's most talented tennis players.

ATP Summer Tournament Team - FREE Summer training
The Advanced Training Program (ATP) provides talented players ages
6-18 with year-round on and off court elite training by USPTA and
PTR certified coaches. Approximately fifty players will be identified
and selected at tryouts to form the ATP Tournament Team.
The program is designed to help Team members develop necessary
skills and improve technique, footwork patterns, shot selection and
point construction. Coaches will focus to develop players’ tactical and
mental skills and prepare them for high level competition. The ATP
program includes a fitness component designed to improve players’
movement on court, agility and overall strength.
Professional staff work to improve the children’s tennis skills and
build character through the sport.
10 and Under Tennis
This program is geared towards children ages ten and under. Low
compression balls and smaller sized equipment will be used to help youngsters develop proper
fundamentals. QuickStart equipment will be used at the tryouts for all 8 and under players.

Tryout Information
 This program is NOT for beginners. Applicants should have experience playing tournaments and
possess high-intermediate to advanced skills.
 Attendance at tryouts is mandatory for all players in order to be considered for placement in the
Advanced Training Program
Registration
 Fill out necessary paperwork at the site
 Come prepared to play. Bring your tennis racquet and dress in tennis attire. Bring water!
Evaluation and Results
 Testers will be evaluating applicants according to their age group
 The evaluation will be based on on-court skills and point situations
 The tryouts are outdoors. In the event of rain, please call the numbers provided
