Apostles Creed*
All
Lord, we humbly come to you today
and honor you as our head and Savior.
We pray that we would be submissive and loving,
just as you gave up yourself and loved us.
You sanctified your church by cleansing with the word,
so that you might present us to yourself without
wrinkle or spot.

Announcements
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven
and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell; on
the third day He rose again from the dead. He
ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to
judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy
Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the
body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Postlude
Who is My Neighbor?
Pray that God will help you to invite one friend to
church this week.
Pray for our family, friends and neighbors to be
saved by the Gospel.
Pray for the Lord to awaken our hearts and eyes
to the poor and needy.
*All those who are able, please stand.
17
And someone from the crowd answered him,
“Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit
18
that makes him mute. And whenever it seizes him, it
throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth
and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it
19
out, and they were not able.” And he answered them,
“O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you?
How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.”
20
And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit
saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell
on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth.
21
And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been
happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.
22
And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to
destroy him. But if you can do anything, have
23
compassion on us and help us.” And Jesus said to
him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who
24
believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried
out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
