Engineering Camp
Biomedical Camp
Campers will be introduced to various fields of
engineering using Project Lead The Way
Curriculum. We will focus primarily on careers
associated with Mechanical engineering,
Aeronautical engineering, Civil engineering,
Robotics and Bio Medical Engineering. Campers
will learn fundamental skills such as sketching,
drawing and Computer Aided Design (CAD)
classes to communicate ideas while using the
design process to complete an engineering task.
Learn about medical technology, lab techniques,
complete a bioengineering project, perform
diagnostic lab activities, and Have Fun! Study
topics involving the cardiovascular, nervous,
digestive, and other body systems. Learn new skills
each day toward a future Health Care career.
Campers will participate in camp project
competition at LISD Tech Center in conjunction
with LISD Engineering Camp Explosion! Contact
Dyan Biringer [email protected] with
any questions.
**Campers who are also 4-H members will be able to enter their projects at the Lenawee County Fair if
registered according to 4-H guidelines.

Center’s Camp Explosion!
Engineering Camp: Monday through Wednesday will be learning and creation time in STEM areas such as Aeronautics
(planes, gliders, rocketry), Civil Engineering (design and construction of Towers, and catapults), Robotics (VEX -Clawbot
Competition) and Autodesk Inventor Pro Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software training. Thursday the campers will
travel around the county visiting manufacturing facilities to see first-hand how the skills they have learned can be used
for future careers. When they attend the Camp Explosion! on Friday, they will bring their creations to participate in test
flights, VEX robotics competitions and the MDOT BRIDGE Design and Construction Challenge!
Bio-Med Camp: We will be learning about many of the biomedical lab procedures such as organ dissection, gel
electrophoresis, DNA analysis, microbiology, forensics, and more. Campers will also be able to learn about many
biomedical careers that are available and have fun learning about the human body functions. During camp, students will
