Project Management
Optimum Energy is focusing on the Project Management aspect for drilling contractors
to out-source their manpower/team needs. Especially during this particular market
environment and where most companies are restructuring and reducing internal overheads.
We believe that we can provide a service which supports and compliments the needs for
the cyclical project scenario, whereby personnel/teams are engaged in an efficient and cost
effective basis.
Our Project Management department has the capability to support Offshore and Onshore/
Shipyard activities such as UWILD, SPS, Cold-Stacking, Reactivation and Upgrade & Repair projects
throughout the globe by ensuring our clients have access to specialised project teams and/or
individual project personnel to support the needs of the independent rig’s, project or specific scope
of work depending on each companies philosophy or approach to executing these tasks.

Project Management
PROJECT PLANNING
Optimum Energy can provide support for schedule planning from the project definition stage
through to the execution stage.
At the project initiation stage, a high level review of the project brief and scope objectives to
meet the OOS defined period would be carried out whereby the initial WBS, SOW and estimated
timelines will be reviewed/discussed to establish a lifecycle schedule and Level-1 schedule.
In addition, high level project risks (Internal/external) will be identified along with the identification
of Long Lead procurement and/or extensive overhaul turnaround timelines which may affect SOW.
Depending on the stage of the project process we are engaged at, Optimum Energy can assist
or manage the scope of work consolidation to refine the WBS and budget through SOW reviews,
cost estimating, work-pack drafting, ITT process and shipyard selection which will all contribute to
developing the schedule planner to a Level-3 or Level-5 breakdown.
Finally to carry out a Objective Based Planning Session (OBS) facilitated by Optimum Energy to
refine the schedule through reverse planning methodology to eliminate slack and optimize the
sequential aspect of the schedule planner to reduce the OOS period.

assist/lead the brainstorming sessions on request.

Our Brownfield Engineering Services offer a solution
