Star Track Album
Lost Stars
Adam Levine
Please don't see
Just a boy caught up in
dreams and fantasies
Please see me
Reaching out for someone I
can't see
Take my hand, let's see
where we wake up tomorrow
Best laid plans sometimes
are just a one night stand
I'll be damned, cupid's
demanding back his arrow
So let's get drunk on our
tears
And, God, tell us the reason
youth is wasted on the
young
It's hunting season and the
lambs are on the run
Searching for meaning
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark
Who are we
Just a speck of dust within
the galaxy
Woe is me
If we're not careful turns
into reality
But don't you dare let our
best memories bring you
sorrow
Yesterday I saw a lion kiss a
deer
Turn the page, maybe we'll
find a brand new ending
Where we're dancing in our
tears
(Repeat Verse Three)
And I thought I saw you out
there crying
And I thought I heard you
call my name
And I thought I heard you
out there crying
But just the same

ndrew De Silva, is in the news
See The Future,’ for me, is about
again. In 2012, R&B/pop singer
escaping. Escaping where we are as a
/ songwriter, hit the big time,
world at the moment and looking to
in Australia, when he won the prestithe heavens and beyond the circumgious Australia’s Got Talent competistances
tion.
Andrew
has plans
to release
a new single, scheduled for
next month
- May 8th
(2015).
The track
is called“I
See The
Future” and
it’s said to
be an
incredibly
infectious,
up-tempo
R&B/pop
number that
tips its hat
more than a
little to the
classic sounds
of Michael
Father and son
Jackson, with
a slight Justin
Timberlake vibe,
to ensure that it’s right up-to-theminute - style-wise, according to auspop.com.au, Australia's first stop for
pOp.
The website goes on to say that its
release comes just over eight months
to the day after his “Now That I
Believe” EP, which, lyrically, touched
with his spirituality. This time around,
however, he’s focused on spreading
lyrical positivity and delivering good
vibes.
Andrew is quoted, by
auspop.com.au, as having said: “’I
Seen 'N' Heard
(Repeat Verse Three)
And I thought I saw you out
there crying
And I thought I heard you
call my name
And I thought I heard you
out there crying
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark
Are we all lost stars trying
to light up the dark
we’re in, looking to the future and
focusing on the positives of life. And I
want people to dance – that’s what I
was doing when I wrote it. I may
have looked silly in the studio, but it’s
infectious!”
Some say “I See The Future” is so
sharp, they reckon this could be the
track to send Andrew straight back
onto the charts.
Andrew, by the way, is the son of
Conrad De Silva – a great
vocalist who rocked
the local music
scene, decades
ago, singing with
quite a few
famous bands,
including the
Spitfires
The Silvas now
live in
Melbourne,
Australia.
Lozaine’s
big day
HEARD…they say it’s not the end of
the road, as yet.
Differences have cropped up and
changes have taken place, but he is still
looking at the positive side of it all.
But the long wait, and silence, is
making music lovers wonder if the
scene would ever be the same for them
again!
S
inger Lozaine Paul,
who now lives in
Melbourne, Australia,
was beaming with happiness, on Sunday, April 5th,
2015, when she married her
long time partner, Amila
Amarakoon.
The ceremony took
place in Melbourne, with
friends and family members in attendance to wish
the couple years and years
of marital bliss.
Lozaine was a popular
vocalist, when she was in
Sri Lanka, and performed
with several well known
local bands.
She continues to exercise her vocal chords,
Down Under, with the band
Cloud 9.

N
imal Mendis, a legend in the
local music scene, and
admired by all the top-notch
local stars, is no more. And his
demise, at the age of 81, is going
to be a tremendous loss to showbiz.
The musician/songwriter known
for such creations as “Master Sir,”
"Kiss Kiss Kiss,” "Kandyan
Express,” "Cherry Blossom Tree,”
"Oh, My Lover,” "Butterfly in the
Rain,” "Champagne Blues" and
"Goodnight Kisses,” was a mega
star, in Sri Lanka, in the late
fifties.
His songs were heard over
radio on a regular basis, and they
became big hits in South Asia,
which enhanced his popularity as
a master composer.
He appeared on the BBC television programme Top of the Pops
(1968) and was a longstanding
member of the Performing Rights
Society and the Mechanical
Copyright Protection Society of
Great Britain.
From his early childhood, Nimal
Mendis was into music and, as
time went by, he had many accolades coming his way. This was
mainly because of his ability to
create and churn out masterpieces.
He lived for many years in
London, and also in France, with
his wife, Ranjani, who died in
2010. They were married for 33
years, and have one son,
Paulmarie.
Many of the present-day, local
stars, found Nimal Mendis’ music
to be an inspiration and he was
highly respected by all.
He was a very dear friend to
Neil Diamond sing-alike, Joey
Lewis, and was an important influence in Joey’s life, as well.
In fact, Joey had the pleasure
of recording a demo for Nimal
a few weeks ago.
“How strange is life! I had
no idea that it would be the
last time we would meet, and
that the plans we made to
meet up again soon, would
never be,” said Joey.

Mendis and Paulmarie Mendis.
