The Pemi Valley Lakes Region Friends of the NRA is holding it's 17th annual fund raising
banquet with raffles, games, live and silent auctions! We'll be awarding firearms, special
NRA merchandise, jewelry and dozens of bucket raffle items as well as an early bird door
prize drawing for a $300 gift certificate for all who arrive prior to 6 pm!
This years event will be held on May 9th at the Conference Center in Waterville Valley,
N.H. This is a great location for us as it allows all our activities to occur in one large room.
Dinner is a buffet with beef, chicken and fish dishes. As an added feature discounted lodging
is available at the Valley Inn (next door) for only $79 plus tax for anyone that wishes to relax
and stay the night. Contact the Inn directly, their phone number is 603-236-8425; reserve
early and mention that you are attending the FONRA dinner.
The NRA Foundation's Friends of NRA program is a big hit across the country which
supports conservation efforts, youth hunter education, firearm safety training, range
development and many other vital programs. Half of the funds raised at our upcoming
Banquet and Auction will stay right here in New Hampshire supporting projects that
encourage responsible firearm ownership and uses, the remaining funds are used to help
similar programs nationwide. Last year we raised over $16,000 and our local club, the Pemi
Fish and Game, is againreceiving grants for club shooting programs!
We have enclosed a dinner ticket flier for your convenience. If you usually get your tickets
at Skips Gun Shop or from a committee member please feel free to do so. We have also
included a flier for the Gun of the Year raffle. This is the only raffle at this event that you do
not have to attend the dinner to enter, so please consider entering even if you can't attend the
dinner! You can also support this event through either cash underwriting for an NRA item,
donation of cash or goods or by becoming a National Sponsor. And if you purchase a dinner
ticket but then can't attend please get your ticket to a friend who can attend and enjoy the
event.
Thank you for considering support for our program. Most of the recipients of this letter
have attended several of our dinners and we want to thank you for your past support! Please
spread the word and encourage your friends and neighbors to attend with you. We welcome
your participation in this grass roots effort to preserve our shooting heritage and promote
lawful and responsible firearms ownership.
