Conscious Habits, Change & Progress
The progress of a human is often based on establishing habits and making them stick.
A human often tries to change, but it is sporadic.
The fundamental purpose, true to all human beings is to evolve and progress. Humans evolve when they
engage consciously and joyfully in any daily practice aimed at inner and outer development. Any practice
produces sustained results and growth when the practice results in a conscious empowering habit.
Anything done over a period of time produces lasting change. Anything done sporadically and
intermittently produces partial change and often dissipates away. We are made of different parts within us.
Often when one part of us wants to change we face resistance from our other parts, which have other
agendas. Two pre-conditions for lasting integral change:
Aspiration should be sustained and continued so that it forms a conscious habit.
The change needs to be integral and sustained by our mind, vital, physical and deeper self.
The Habit tool
In order to make the change to embody new habits, we often need a companion / aid that support the
journey. The Habit tool is one such companion. ‘Where attention goes, energy flows’- The Tool enables us
to focus our attention on the creation, monitoring and sustaining required conscious habits.
The tool is based on the Telos framework of Integral Evolution of Consciousness
and hence has 4 major layers to address the habit formation and sustenance –
That of Physical, Vital (Emotional), Mental and Spiritual. The tool format and
method are also inspired from Nabil Raad (a global corporate leader) who has
been using this in his life for over 20 years.
Any habit is sustained when it is backed up by a sense of purpose, meaning and
intentionality of the mind; backed up by the emotion, energy and there is a sense
of enjoyment doing it. The habit is then repeated and repeated until it naturally
occurs in daily action without any effort. And then the tool can be used to build the
next set of conscious habits to continue the journey of evolution.
The workshop
The workshop ‘Making Conscious Habits and Keeping Them’ is to provide a simple tool to
better understand integral change,
create habits,
sustain and monitor daily practices,
detect patterns of peaks and lows on a monthly basis, and
ensure that the change is made at the physical, vital life force and mental level,
supported by deeper self.
For Whom
Anyone interested to do any inner practices on a day to day basis for inner and outer evolution; and who
wants to sustain and succeed in it to form conscious habits and allow those habits to evolve over time.
