Tickets are now on sale for Mary Reid’s Harp Concert on Friday 17th April at All Saints’ Church at
7.00pm. She has played both in London and Yorkshire and it is sure to be a wonderful evening,
please see her website for more information on her www.maryplaysharp.co.uk . Tickets are
available from the school office.
On Monday next week it’s the Music for Life event, the children will experience a live concert
performed by professional musicians, Naomi Atherton on the French Horn and James Manson on the
Double Bass and will be taken on a musical journey around the world!
On Tuesday we are very honoured to have Bishop James hosting Collective Worship. Parents are
invited to attend as well.
Tuesday is also Science Day with Protein Pete, where he will be teaching the children all about
plants and their uses.
Wednesday is Bags 2 School day so keep filling your bags and remember to bring them into school
by 9am.
Friday is Class 2’s Big Event at 11.15am and also Red Nose Day of course, the children can come in
with their faces painted for a donation of £1 – more red noses are on order as we have sold out!!

Literacy: We will be using our knowledge of plants and
will begin writing our explanation texts about how plants
grow.
Numeracy: Next week we will be learning about the
properties of 2D and 3D shapes.
Topic: We will learning about the sounds different
musical instruments make.
Science: Protein Pete will be visiting and teaching us
all about plants and their uses.
Maths: We will learning about multiples, factors and
Prime Numbers
French: We will be doing Tutti Frutti French.
Topic: We will be continuing to produce our own board
games for the Big Event
