Do you have an open catering policy?
Yes! You are welcome to select your own caterer and/or bar service. If you’re looking for suggestions, we are happy to
provide you with a list of people we’ve worked with, and who are familiar with our spaces.
Who is responsible for clean-up?
We ask that you leave the space the way you found it at the beginning of your event. All outside items i.e.; rentals,
decorations must be removed at the end of your event. Our Facilities staff will take care of the cleaning of the floors,
tables, bathrooms, etc. But we do ask that you or your caterer bag all trash, recycling and compostables in one location.
What are the easiest parking options?
The Public Market Parking Garage at 1531 Western Ave. is the most convenient and affordable option for parking at Pike
Place Market. The garage provides convenient access to the Market via elevator and Sky Bridge.
DowntownSeattleParking.com is a mobile-optimized website that features garages (including the Public Market Garage)
with rates of $3/hour, up to four hours.
Are your meeting spaces ADA accessible?
We are fully ADA compliant. There is an elevator in the Economy Building as well as ADA-accessible facilities for both
men and women.
Can we have a rehearsal before our wedding?
Your rehearsal can take place Monday-Thursday the week of your wedding. Hourly rental rates apply.
Do you offer a non-profit discount?
We believe non-profits provide a great benefit to the community and we happily extend a 20% discount to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
Do I need to pay a damage deposit?
No damage deposit is required in advance. We do, however, require a valid credit card on file for any additional charges
or damages accrued during your event.
Is my event the only event scheduled at the Market that day?
No. Due to the design of our facility we are able to accommodate multiple events at once.
On the day of my event, who is responsible for setting up?
If you provide a detailed floorplan in advance, we are able to set up our equipment. All decorating is the sole
responsibly of the client.
Are there any additional fees?
Outside of the room rate, we require a $100 facility fee. Any event scheduled past 6:00pm requires at least one security
officer. If your event includes alcohol, we require a banquet permit that can be purchased from the Washington State
Liquor Control Board’s website. A certificate of insurance with the Pike Place Market PDA listed as additional insured is
required for most events. Insurance requirements may be waived with approval of PDA for small private meetings (no
more than 50 people) and/or events that do not serve alcohol. Insurance prices vary.
When can my vendors drop off and pick up?
In accordance with our contract, all vendors must deliver and pick-up all items the day of your event. If delivery or pickup of items is required outside rental hours we will attempt to accommodate, subject to other events and staffing
availability with prior notice and consent.
