Rules and Regulations for Pitch This Place
In regards to this document, Contest Hosts includes, but is not limited to Small
Business Centre, City of Belleville, City of Quinte West, Hastings County, Trenval Business
Development Corporation, Belleville Downtown Improvement Area, Trenton Downtown
Business Improvement Area and their agents, affiliates, sponsors, representatives or
employees.
All applicants must apply online through the Pitch This Place website,
www.pitchthisplace.com
Candidates will be required to sign a waiver to participate as outlined, and to be
photographed for media purposes. Candidate grants permission to use his/her name,
likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional
consideration.
Separate rules and regulations will be signed by the WINNER of Pitch This Place.
Winner agrees to sign a minimum 2 year lease with the landlord for the available
space in order to participate in the Pitch This Place contest.
All business ideas will be kept confidential by the Pitch This Place committee, official
Judges and the organizing committee.
Applicants contact information will be kept confidential.
Only those selected for the competition will be contacted.
Each of the TOP TEN candidates must attend the 1 day Business Planning workshop.
Each of the TOP FIVE candidates must present a 3-5 minute pitch to the judging
panel.
Guidelines for the “Pitch” to the judges will be provided only to the successful TOP
FIVE candidates.
By participating, all entrants acknowledge and agree that they have entered the contest of their own free will, that the full Rules and
Regulations of the contest have been made available to them on www.pitchthisplace.com. By entering this contest, the participant
agrees to indemnify, release, and hold harmless the Small Business Centre, City of Belleville, City of Quinte West, Hastings County,
Trenval Business Development Corporation, Belleville Downtown Improvement Area, Trenton Downtown Business Improvement
Area, their agents, affiliates, sponsors, representatives or employees from any liability, damages, losses, or injury resulting in whole
or in part, directly or indirectly, from the participant’s entry into Pitch this Place. The rules and regulations of this contest are subject
to change. The information contained herein while deemed to be accurate is not guaranteed.

The Winner will receive FREE RENT for their first year of lease in the available space
provided in part by the City of Belleville, City of Quinte West, and Trenval Business
Development Corporation.
Professional services will be offered in kind by the Small Business Centre, Belleville
Downtown Improvement Area (BDIA), Trenton Downtown Business Improvement Area
and other local sponsors.
Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted.
Contest Hosts and their respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and
representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or
administration of Pitch this Place, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or
posting or these Rules and Regulations, the selection and announcement of any winner, or
the distribution of any prize. Contest Hosts reserve the right to terminate, suspend or
amend Pitch this Place, without notice, and for any reason.
Contest Hosts and their respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and
representatives are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry
information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data
transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone
network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online
service or any other error, human or otherwise.
Contest Hosts do not make any warranties, expressed or implied, as to the condition,
fitness, or merchantability of the prize.
