of the Pleasant Hills Library is an
independent, non-profit group, whose
mission is to support the Pleasant Hills
Library with our fundraising efforts.
The Friends create public support and
assistance to ensure that the Pleasant Hills
Library can continue to engage the
community in literacy & learning at a time
when the Library is needed most.

the Friends started
a “bridge flight”
fundraiser in 1954
and that local
bridge players still
donate to the
Friends group?
Ask at the Library if you play bridge and want to get
involved OR if you want to see the annual winners’
plaque in the Library. THANK YOU to all the
players who support this ongoing tradition.
Another way to donate is through United Way and/or Corporate Giving.
Ask your employer if your workplace participates in such options.

What a difference our library makes ! Help us meet our Goal:
$ 40,000 of the library’s budget must come from your Donations.
Past, present, future: 1945 to ?
To celebrate the Library’s 70th year of service,
the Library has planned special events to highlight life
in a growing suburb in the decade after WWII.
Check the Library’s event schedule often
as the programs are added through the year.
Watch for upcoming details about our canasta party,
watching 1940s movies on our big TV,
a swing dance lesson, and gardening programs.
