This is necessary in order to create homogeneous, wellbalanced groups. JacknJill The appointed times for our Saturday JnJ are listed on page 3 of our schedule. The prizes include passes for next years’ parties at Balboa Dayz 2016, Plenty Hot 2016, Prague Xmas 2015, PSSF 2016, and Crep' Swing Festival 2015. If you want to participate in the JnJ please register at the checkin desk and be at the ballroom by 9:30 p.m. on Saturday evening Shirt printing We’ll have a printing station where you can print prepared logos for Lindy Hop and Balboa on your shirt, shoe bag or whatever else you want to bring along. We have a supply of affordable tshirts on hand, so don’t sweat it if you forget to bring one! Showers at the big gymnasium! The big gymnasium has showers! ! If you want to use them, purchase coins (50 cents each) from the janitor during the workshop hours. This is a good option for people who are staying in Dresden, but don't want to travel back and forth between workshop and parties.
Lunch
at ballroom or in town You may still order lunch at the ballroom (if you haven't so far)! The form also includes the the meal description Meal registration form: http://plentyhot.com/wpadmin/adminajax.php?action=frm_forms_preview&form=plentyhotlunch If you didn’t order lunch at the ballroom, you’ll be able to eat in one of the local restaurants, although since they’re not accustomed to coping with large groups, it would be easier (and quicker) if more people would have lunch at the ballroom. Sundays many of the restaurants are closed! 1
Dinner
at Ballroom // Coffee, tea, fruits etc. during the classes On Friday and Saturday the ballroom staff will prepare a dinner buffet (vegetarian and meat options) for a
decent price.
So you can eat at the ballroom after classes and don't need to find a restaurant. The buffet will be open between
6 pm and ...
Snacks will also be available at the bar At the ballroom between classes you can have coffee, tea, fruit and other snacks. Supermarket There’s a 'Netto' supermarket with a large parking lot across from the big gymnasium. It will be open on Saturday until 8 p.m. Wifi We have free Wifi at the ballroom, just ask the checkin team for details. Camping/Accommodation If you didn’t manage to find accommodation through the facebook groups, ● https://www.facebook.com/PlentyHot ● https://www.facebook.com/events/841385192590940/ ● https://www.facebook.com/groups/jamDD/ you can try the youthhostels, Couchsurfing or AirBNB in Meißen, Radebeul or Dresden. The camping site has space for both tents & campers, but please call them in advance +49(0)3523/700220\ for reservations.
http://www.campingplatzcoswig.de/pages/en/index.html It’s a 30 minute walk from the campground to the ballroom. They have 5 bicycles for rent (reservations for bike rentals, +49(0)3520570246 or +49(0)1727902480). There are washing machines and showers (4 minutes = 1EUR) at the campground and a small restaurant, which has both coffee and bread but doesn’t offer a regular breakfast. It is open daily until 8 p.m. A bakery is nearby. For those who stay in town: Dixieland / New Orleans Festival in Dresden The International Dixieland Festival in Dresden starts on May 10th. On the weekend of May 16th/17th there will be 7 stages where bands will play free music from 10a.m. to 8p.m. on the “Prager Street Jazz Mile” The celebration ends at 3 p.m. on Sunday May 17th with a big parade starting at the Elbe steam boat docks and progressing towards the Jazz Mile, with dancing until 8 p.m. It’s the great culmination of the festival and we’d love to have dancers from other communities join us for the event. SightSeeing Dresden has a lot to offer: Pillnitzer Schloss, Lingner Schloss which offers a splendid view of Dresden, "das Blaue Wunder" and the Elbe river banks, the historic city center, from the Semperoper to the Golden Horse Rider, in the lively area known as DresdenNeustadt there are many bars and clubs open all night, (we recommend Blue Note Jazz Bar, Evergreen Blues Bar), the "Elbsandsteingebirge" a little mountain range also called the "Saxon Switzerland", the historic city of Meißen (famous for china), Großer Garten (big baroquean City Park), a ride on a steam boat with live Swing music... S1
provides a
substitute bus connection
after
7:45pm
... so if you’re not staying in Coswig or at the camping ground you will have to use the substitute bus and make a connection in "Radebeul Ost" to the S1
(same applies when you're coming into Coswig from Dresden, you have to change from the S1 train to the bus in at Radebeul Ost). So we recommend to take the tram at night. The last
Tram 4
to Dresden
leaves at
2:49
am in the morning. In case the train company "Deutsche Bahn" will be on strike, you will have to take the tram during the day as well. The ride with the
Tram 4
takes 40 minutes during day and we think, only 30 minutes during night! Tram 4
