ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is currently accepting nominations for the
Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The purpose of the award is to honor a man or woman who is an
innovative and successful leader in the Powell Community. An Entrepreneur is someone who demonstrates
social responsibility, vision, leadership and achievement to take business to the next level. They find creative
ways to acquire capital, utilize the resources they need to achieve their goals and build and grow a successful
business.
The following criteria will be used to select the successful award winner:
Nominees should:
 Be someone who has put everything on the line in order to translate an idea into a valuable enterprise;
 A business leader in the community;
 Someone who knows that commitment and responsibility are not confined to business, and leverages
energies and resources to give back to the community;
 Be an individual whose business creates successful everyday practices with respect to employees,
and its impact on the community;
 Nominations may come from the community and Chamber members.
A nomination form must be completed and returned to the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce office by 12
noon May 30th, 2015. The Board of Directors of the Chamber will vote on the nominees. The winner will be
announced at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting, June 12th, 2015.
